More tension as Deportivo remain winless, this week the board of directors was also thinking of quitting. The rival is also in relegation.

Another tough week for Deportivo, the latest defeat with Málaga CF left the team at the bottom of the standings and now four points below the safety. The situation is so tense that the board of directors analyzed a possible exit after the overwhelming criticism coming from the fans, in the end they decided to continue.

On the pitch, coach Luis César Sampedro is protecting the squad and at the same time preparing changes after practically repeating the same mistakes of Anquela during his first two matches commanding the team.

The environment has been more hermetic on the week. The club suspended the interviews and the only way to talk to the players is during the press conferences scheduled for the training days, and the ones talking are captains at the squad, on Tuesday it was Dani Giménez, on Wednesday it was the turn for Borja Valle and Thursday was for Eneko Bóveda.

And big changes are expected for the visit to Racing Santander (Sardinero, Saturday, 18h00 CET). The team started the week analyzing the multiple errors of the game with Málaga, there was a long video session on Tuesday, and between Wednesday and Friday the team is working tactics in the covered pitch at Abegondo.

Luis César will remain counting with 20 of the 22 players at the first team, this since Michele Somma (knee sprain) and David Simón (thigh) are still injured. The good news is that David Simón already started to work on the pitch and could be joining the group on next week.

If Depor is in crisis, then Racing Santander is about to meet one. The Cantabrians have spent six games without winning, the second worst current streak at Segunda after Depor (11), and now they are penultimate, only two points above the Galicians. So, the game is very important in order to not lose the track of salvation.

Coach Ivan Ania will miss left-back defenders Abraham Minero (knee ligaments) and Moi Delgado (muscle), plus midfielder Ari Nkaka (ankle sprain). The good news is that his offensive trident, Yoda, Enzo Lobardo and Álvaro Cejudo, are fit to plat. Combined they have scored 9 of the 13 goals of Racing on the season.
