No reasons to celebrate as Deportivo remain to be a plane team without offensive ideas. There were worries with the side defenders, but they ended been the best players in the game. Longo was a starter again and lived a new disappointing performance.

- Zero improvement: After the game, the coach and the players tried to sell the idea that Depor improved and that the draw should be considered as a step forward. But the true is that Deportivo continued to be a plane team without any ideas of how to attack, and the supposed improvement in defence had a lot to do with the poor game of AD Alcorcón, side that disappointed as more was expected from a team in a good moment. And it’s that the Madrilenians were a soft team that gave the ball away and that played on long plays that never created any arm, actually they only completed two shots on target, one at the beginning of the game and the other at minute 89.

- More balance at midfield: What should be noticed is that the trivote figure gave more stability at midfield. Vicente Gómez played a decent game and Álex Bergantiños looked more solid. Vicente played attached to the left and ended the game as the player with more passes (70) and a decent 81% pass accuracy. Álex completed one less pass and had a pass accuracy of 79%.

- The best from the game: Luis Ruiz and Mujaid: There were worries with the side defenders for this game, Mujaid wasn’t used to perform at the right and Luis Ruiz had a poor debut against SD Huesca, but in the end both players turned to be the best men in the game. Mujaid looked secure at the right flank and, since neither Ernesto nor Bellvís gave him problems, he frequently joined the attacks. He had a clear chance to score at the start of the second half and ended with 41 passes (pass accuracy 85%). Meanwhile, Luis Ruiz looked nervous at the start, but later ended making a solid game, also joining the attacks and he ended as the player with more crosses in the game (10).

- The continuity of Longo: The debate about Longo continues. The Argentine has shown a poor game so far and is the big disappointment of the season, and he was left out of the game with Elche CF (matchday 15) after been a starter in the previous six games, but Luis César recalled him and was a starter in this game, and again he showed absolutely nothing. He looks anxious and played 59 minutes only completing 9 passes.

- The weird decisions of Luis César: The coach opted in playing with a 4-3-3, but throughout the week he tested with Gaku and Beto da Silva as starters, even Japanese midfielder Gaku trained the set-pieces as it was expected that he was going to throw the free-kicks. In the end the coach opted in playing with Álex and Longo, and it cannot be said that it was a good decision, because Deportivo was a poor team in offensive tasks.

- First clean sheet with the new coach: Seventh game for Luis César at Depor, and the Galician man was able to obtain his first clean sheet with the club until now. Actually, it was the first time with him on board that Los Blanquiazules reach half-time without conceding any goal.

- Sixteen games without winning: Deportivo have now spent sixteen straight matchdays without winning. So, one more winless result and the team will tie the infamous mark from the campaign 1987/88 (17), in that season Depor escaped the relegation just by the goal-difference rule (Bilbao Athletic went down having the same points than Deportivo).
