Deportivo announced on Saturday the signing of winger/forward Hugo Vallejo. The youngster arrives loaned from Real Madrid. He was inscribed as a Fabril’s member, but will be playing with the first team.

The club announced before Saturday’s training that Hugo Vallejo has signed for Deportivo. The 19-year-old player arrives loaned from Real Madrid after they pay €300,000 to Málaga CF. He is inscribed as a Fabril’s player due to his age, but will be playing with the first team. This last move was made as it’s highly probable that the club will use the 25 spots at the first team with the operations to be made during the winter window. The lad joined the trainings on Saturday.

Hugo Vallejo is a winger that can also perform as a centre forward that landed at Málaga CF during the stage of Cadetes. He impressed with his skills there and quickly moved up until reaching the first team on last season. At the time coach Juan Ramón Muñiz allowed his debut in 0-3 loss against FC Reus (January 6).

He begun the current season at the orders of Víctor Sánchez, who gave him minutes in five of the first six matchdays at Segunda. What happened next is that his contract was ending in June of 2020 and the winger didn’t want to negotiate a renewal, reason why he was sidelined from the competition.

Hugo Vallejo is the fifth signing made by Deportivo during the winter window. The previous reinforcements made by the Galician club were playmaker Emre Çolak, midfielder Uche Agbo, plus attackers Sabin Merino and Claudio Beauvue.
