The short stage of Beto da Silva at Deportivo is over. The club rescinded his contract and also cleared a spot for an international player.

Beto da Silva has rescinded his loan contract with Deportivo. The club made the announcement on Wednesday. The Peruvian attacker arrived during the summer on deadline day, it was a loan agreement with Mexican club Tigres de Monterey, and it wasn’t clear if it was part of the exit of Diego Rolán. Now he leaves after only four months in A Coruña.

The exit is important as it opens a slot for a player without an EU-passport.  Only two foreign spots are available at Segunda División, and da Silva and Gaku Shibasaki were the holders of the spots.

Beto da Silva was one of the five players that arrived at Deportivo on deadline day, and it was the one that never adapted to the wishes from the three coaches. Anquela and Luis César never relied on him, and both coaches said in press conferences that the Peruvian attacker had things to improve. And when Fernando Vázquez landed at the club, he was already at the door out.

In the end da Silva only played in 8 official games during the season (6 in Liga and 2 in Copa del Rey), in all of them he was a substitute with the exception of the Copa game at Illueca, in that meeting he was part of the starting formation and played 62 minutes.

The exit of Beto da Silva is the second during the winter transfer window, last week Serbian winger Saša Jovanović rescinded his contract with the club.
